My name is Argentina Hajrizaj and I am 23 years old. I was born and raised in Istog, a village in the Republic of Kosovo.
I finished high school in Electro-Informatics, then went on to study at the University of Accounting and Finance where I graduated. During this time, I also participated in various trainings which played an important role in my education. For 2 years I was a beneficiary of a USAID program, where through training we tried to implement various projects for the benefit of the community and youth of our country. I have also worked in various internships. The experiences that I found most interesting were in the Municipal Assembly of Istog in the department Budget and Finance, as well as the Care Center working for the needs and interests of citizens.
During my free time, I engage as a volunteer for a group of young people in the community where I live, serving them. I am taking online courses and reading different books to learn foreign languages.
Now, I am challenging myself in the field of education, becoming a first-generation fellow of Teach For Kosova, where together we aim to improve the quality of education by focusing on children and young people. As a recent graduate, I wish to help my country overcome the difficulties that schools and education in general face regarding the education of young people because as a new state, our main hope remains precisely in their education.
